FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — On Saturday night, 10 people were injured and one North Side High School student was killed at a party in northeast Fort Wayne. Shots were fired at a house party, ending Willie Ivy III's life. Just hours earlier, he was talking to his dad about the future. "He was looking to attend Alabama A&M," Willie Ivy Jr. said. "We was just asking about two hours before everything that went down, what was his GPA and SAT scores so we could get him enrolled in there." Autopsy confirms identity of party shooting victim as North Side High School student Ivy Jr. moved from Fort Wayne last year to Memphis, Ivy lived with his mom in Fort Wayne but still had a huge connection to his father. Ivy Jr. said his son had a bright future ahead of him and was a smart person who knew how to work hard and bring positivity into any space. "He just loved to spread love and joy and brighten up a room," Ivy Jr. said. Ivy Jr. also said that his son was slated to graduate a year early from high school.
