(MONUMENT, Colo.) — Plans for a future nature center at Fox Run Park in northern El Paso County continue to progress, as El Paso County Parks and Community Services held an open house to gather public feedback on Wednesday, Oct. 23. The center is designed to feature two buildings--an observation tower and a canopy walk. The tower is designed to allow visitors to peer into and just above the tree canopy. The nature center will be 100% electric, utilizing heat pumps and radiant floor heating. "So we knew that it was something that we wanted to do, and the master plan that we did in 2013 really was the driving force for us to pick northern El Paso County."
