MINOT, ND (KXNET) -- The Civil Air Patrol in Minot started preparations over the weekend for Wreaths Across America. More than half of the Civil Air Patrol Cadets from the Magic City Composite Squadron, as well as members of the VFW, were out Saturday morning at Rosehill Memorial Cemetery putting up wreath-hanging crosses in anticipation of the Wreaths Across America Remembrance Ceremony. The ceremony will take place in December, where the actual wreaths will be placed next to the individual graves of fallen service members. Target to cut prices for over 2,000 items for the holidays Commander of the Minot Civil Air Patrol, Major Jeffrey Slocum, says Wreaths Across America is an important way of remembering the veterans who are no longer with us. "The service members have given a lot for this country and some their lives and it's really important to remember that whether they died in the combat or later," said Maj. Slocum. The wreath-laying remembrance ceremony will be held on December 14 at 11 a.m. at Rosehill Memorial Park. For those who wish to sponsor a wreath this year, click here. Close Thanks for signing up!
