COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- A man is dead after being hit by a larger pickup truck Wednesday afternoon on the west side of Columbus. According to Columbus police, the accident happened on the 5400 block of Fisher Road at approximately 5:45 p.m. The man was taken to Grant Medical Center in critical condition but was pronounced dead at 6:20 p.m. Police described the truck that hit the man as a larger pickup truck, similar to a construction or work truck. The driver of the pickup did stay at the scene, police said.
