FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - The highway running between Selma and Fowler is set to be shut down for construction next week, Caltrans announced Wednesday. According to officials, southbound Highway 99 at Manning Avenue will be completely closed off on Oct. 30 from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. Caltrans adds the closure is to install an overhead changeable message sign. For those traveling through the area at the time of the closure, officials will have a detour in place guiding southbound traffic to Golden State Boulevard and then to Highland Avenue. Caltrans said the closure may continue for longer periods of time if necessary, due to delays caused by uncontrollable events.
