SANGER, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - Sanger Unified School District unveiled an almost $5 million project that will benefit the community and aid students. On Tuesday, school officials held a ribbon cutting to unveil the new Fairmont Farmers Market. The market is part of a $4.8 million investment that also includes a 2-acre farm and a greenhouse. The construction began in mid-May of 2023 and is just phase one of multiple other additions officials say are soon to follow. The other phases will include a livestock shelter, barn, WET/Plant Science area, and innovation/maker space. Officials say the farm will serve all Sanger Unified students and the public market will sell and showcase food grown on the farm and local produce. SUSD says the project was made possible by various architects, construction teams, principals, teachers, community members, and many more.
