WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — An alleged drunk driver who was involved in a deadly crash earlier this year appeared briefly in court on Wednesday. Samuel Adams, 46, of Woonsocket, was arraigned on several charges including driving under the influence, resulting in death. RELATED: DUI suspect indicted in deadly Woonsocket crash Police said Adams hit another vehicle at the intersection of Bernon and Maple streets on the night of March 30. The back-seat passenger in that vehicle, 71-year-old Charles Bagley, died as a result of the crash. The driver and front-seat passenger were also injured, according to police. Adams pleaded not guilty to all of the charges he faces, which also include driving so as to endanger resulting in death and two counts each of driving under the influence resulting in serious bodily injury and driving so as to endanger resulting in serious bodily injury. His bail was set at $25,000 with surety, and as a condition, he's not allowed to drive. Adams is due back in court in January for a pretrial hearing. Close Thanks for signing up!
