Bradley Banister, 26, and Avery Weiser, 16, are now facing first-degree murder. New court documents shed light on the robbery attempt leading to Hutchinson's death. According to a witness, Weiser and Hutchinson got in a fight weeks before the murder. Weiser allegedly threatened to come back and kill Hutchinson. On October 10, Weiser returned with Banister to Hutchinson's camper. What happened next is unclear, the suspects stories to investigators are not adding up. Weiser said "Banister picked him up from his house" and "gave him clear disposable gloves" that he said they both wore during the robbery. He says when they got to the home a fight broke out and "Banister shot Hutchinson in the back multiple times." He also said "Banister accidently shot him in the leg." Weiser also confessed to bringing a gun to the robbery, though he claimed he didn't know if he shot Hutchinson. He continued to deny involvement in the robbery, claiming he didn't own a firearm because he was a felon. Deputies searched Banister's home and found a "makeshift firing range, shell casings and a pile of clear disposable gloves." While it's unclear who killed Hutchison, News 4 spoke with someone in town who say they knew him. "Avery would just go over to his house all the time and just hang out, you know and sometimes I'd come over there and hang out and they'd be there, but I never knew the boy to shoot him," said Brice Handcock, friend of victim. Hutchinson's family has also created a GoFundMe.
