TULSA, Okla. (KFOR) — Tulsa Police arrested former American Idol hopeful Benjamin Glaze on Friday after they reportedly found over 700 images and videos of child pornography on his smartphone. Photo courtesy Tulsa Police Department. 26-year-old Glaze auditioned for American Idol back in March 2018, and while he didn't secure his ticket to Hollywood, he did go viral after being kissed by Idol judge and pop star Katy Perry. The Tulsa Police Sexual Predator/Digital Evidence Recovery Unit received a tip about Glaze back in April 2024, claiming that he was in possession of child porn. Police sat that they found over 700 images and videos of child sexual abuse material on a smartphone found in Glaze's home while executing a search warrant. Glaze was later arrested on Friday, October 18, and booked into the Tulsa County Jail on a felony charge of aggravated possession of child sexual abuse material. He has since been released from jail after posting a $50,000 bond, according to court records.
