MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A 19-year-old man is charged with stealing more than $19,000 from White Station High School by forging and cashing a check from the school.
Deandre Bogard is charged with theft of property $10,000-$60,000 and forgery $10,000-$60,000.
White Station's principal reported the funny money to police back on May 28, saying a check that was written from the school's activity account had been cashed by Bogard, a former Memphis Shelby County Schools student.

The principal told police she believed the original check may have been stolen out of the mail before it made it to its intended destination.

She also noted that the name of the school was spelled incorrectly on the check deposited into Bogard's account.
Bogard, who graduated from Manassas High School, has never been enrolled at White Station, the principal told police.
He was arrested Wednesday after police received information from the bank.
