Lincoln Police, the Nebraska State Patrol, along with K-9 Units and the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission had investigators out on some private property near Overton, west of Kearney, looking for additional clues in finding 31-year-old Jerica Hamre. She’s been missing since late June, last seen at her home near 35th and Huntington and her disappearance is considered to be suspicious in nature. Lincoln Police Public Information Manager Erika Thomas on Wednesday said there is evidence of Hamre being in the areas around Overton, Arapahoe, Lexington and Holdrege. Thomas would not disclose what led investigators to that area of south-central Nebraska, since the investigation is ongoing. Hamre had been reported missing on July 3. Thomas says there haven’t been a lot of tips coming in lately on Hamre’s whereabouts, especially after the latest development. “That way, if anyone out there has information or were to have seen her and not realize that she was missing, hopefully this information can continue to spread,” Thomas added. LPD is committed to reunited Hamre with her family. If you have information on Jerica Hamre’s whereabouts, call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
