FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) -- The man behind one of the three shootings at Glenbrook Square mall within the last 15 months was sentenced Wednesday, according to Allen Superior Court records. Quentin A. Lewis, 28, was sentenced to three years with two years suspended. The executed part of Lewis' sentence will be served in the Allen County Community Corrections home detention program. Lewis originally faces two Level 5 felony charges: battery by means of a deadly weapon and criminal recklessness by shooting a gun in a building. However, he accepted a plea deal in August that dismissed the battery charge and amended the criminal recklessness charge into the aforementioned sentence. Another condition of the plea deal requires Lewis to stay away from Glenbrook Square and any Glenbrook Commons properties. Court docs: Shooting at Glenbrook Square preceded by mace, chair throwing, threats The September 2023 shooting stemmed from a series of altercations between Lewis -- who worked at a barber shop in the mall -- and the victim, who was upset over "rude and sexual comments" Lewis made toward a woman in the barber shop, according to court documents. During a previous court hearing, it was revealed mall surveillance showed Lewis leaving the building with a handgun hanging out of his pocket. The shooting was the second of three shootings that took place inside Glenbrook Square within the last 15 months. The other shootings happening in July 2023 and May 2024.
