BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) -- A Buffalo man pleaded guilty Wednesday afternoon to fatally shooting a victim during an attempted burglary in February in the city's Kensington neighborhood, the Erie County District Attorney's Office announced. Officials said police responded to a reported shooting at 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 7 on the 300 block of Warwick Avenue where they found 60-year-old Mitchell Reese suffering from a gunshot wound on the porch of a residence. An investigation found that Levon Dickson, 30, tried to commit a residential burglary when he shot Reese with an illegal gun. Dickson pleaded guilty to one count of first-degree manslaughter and faces a maximum of 25 years in prison when he is sentenced on Nov. 26. He remains held without bail.
