One man has died and two others were taken to an Evanston hospital after a shooting near the Howard Red Line station in Rogers Park Wednesday afternoon.It happened about 2:50 p.m. in the 1600 block of West Howard Street, according to Chicago police. The Howard station is nearby, at 7519 N. Paulina St.The three men were near a sidewalk when someone in a car drove up and an occupant fired shots, police said.One man, 29, suffered gunshot wounds to his neck, back and abdomen. He was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, where he was pronounced dead, police said.Another man, 18, was shot in the chest and taken to the same hospital, where he was in critical condition, police said.The third gunshot victim, a 20-year-old man, was in good condition at St. Francis Hospital with a gunshot wound to his shoulder, police said.No one was in custody.
