ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The Rochester Police Department has shut down the area of Lincoln Street after a police chase. Officers on the scene told News 8 they spotted a Kia that was involved in a series of robberies. This led to a chase, which ended at the corner of Stevens Street and Lincoln Street. Rochester police have the area of Lincoln Street and Stevens Street shut down to traffic (News 8 WROC/Alec Richardson) It's not confirmed how many people were in the car, but News 8 crews on the scene confirmed two people were taken into custody. There were no injuries in the chase. Police currently have the roadway in that area blocked off by police tape until further notice. The vehicle is at the scene with at least three doors open.
