ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Rochester police made two gun arrests Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning. According to investigators, officers were called to Cady Street around 8:30 p.m. for reports of a disturbance possibly involving a gun. Police said a man tried to evade them by running through a wooded area behind a house there. Muqtar Osman, 19, was arrested, Police said they found a loaded handgun in his pant leg. He was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and released with electronic monitoring. Police were called to Dr. Samuel McCree Way around 3:30 a.m. for reports of a man with a gun. They allegedly found a 35-year-old man hiding between a fence and a garbage tote with an unloaded handgun. According to investigators, the man began experiencing overdose symptoms during his arrest. He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital, then the Monroe County Jail, and charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
