(KRON) -- Multiple arrests were made after police said a man crashed his truck while under the influence of alcohol and two others arrived to whisk the driver away on a scooter, the San Mateo Police Department announced Tuesday. The suspected drunk driver crashed a truck into a residence’s front yard before attempting to flee on foot, according to authorities. As officers responded to the scene to locate the suspect, “two cronies showed up to help him abscond from the scene on scooter,” San Mateo police said. The driver of the truck was arrested for driving under the influence and the two others were arrested for interfering with an investigation. Police alleged that the two had also been drinking. “Needless to say, all 3 got a trip to jail,” San Mateo PD said. “If you drink, don’t drive! Whether it be a car, truck, plane, train, or scooter, don’t do it!”
