With the election just two weeks away, a new poll shows Republican U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and Democratic challenger U.S. Rep. Colin Allred in a dead heat to represent Texas in the upper chamber. New numbers from Emerson College Polling/The Hill put Cruz a single point ahead of Allred with likely voters, which is inside the poll's 3.4% margin of error. The two-term incumbent leads 48% to 47%, while 5% remain undecided.
