NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The Federal Aviation Administration has announced a grant for Louisiana airports to allow infrastructure improvements.
The funding is a part of the Airport Terminal Program mentioned in Senator Bill Cassidy's Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.

Of the three state airports selected for funding, the Louis Armstrong International Airport will receive $10.8 million.
“Investing in Louisiana’s airports is key to building our economy for 2050,” said Cassidy.
Cassidy says this will allow for the construction of a shuttle bus connector road, provide access to future multi-modal infrastructure and increase safe movement of passengers and baggage.

Additionally, Shreveport Regional Airport will receive $7 million for an FAA tower relocation and Monroe Regional Airport will receive $2.5 million to replace boarding bridges for travelers under the Americans with Disability Act.
