MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Police in Tipton County, Tennessee are investigating an apparent murder-suicide after two people were found dead inside a home. The Munford Police Department responded to the incident on Littleton Way just before 3 a.m. Wednesday after receiving a distress call. Police say they believe the event stemmed from a domestic incident that ended in a murder-suicide. There is no ongoing threat to the community and this appears to have been an isolated event, according to the Munford Police Department. “Our thoughts are with the families affected by this heartbreaking event. We are doing everything possible to understand the circumstances that led to this tragedy," said Police Chief Randal Baskin. This is an ongoing investigation.
