ANDERSON, Ind. -- An Anderson teen is recovering after he was shot during an incident on Tuesday, causing a vehicle to crash into a nearby house. According to a news release from the Anderson Police Department, officers responded to a convenience store on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. at around 9:47 p.m. on Tuesday on reports of a nearby shooting. When officers arrived, they found a teen who was reportedly shot inside a crashed vehicle. The release said that the shooting resulted in the vehicle crashing into a nearby house. The teen was taken to an Indianapolis hospital and is reportedly in stable condition. IMPD: Man arrested after reportedly making threats to police, other person The release said that preliminary details show the victim was inside his vehicle when a man reportedly approached and shot him. Officials said the alleged shooter was last seen fleeing the area on foot after the shooting. The department's K9 division searched the area and during its investigation, located a discarded firearm. The department's criminal investigations division is continuing to investigate the case.
