The person, who ended up being McQuinn's girlfriend. reportedly told officers they lied on Oct. 18 "because they were afraid for their safety." The girlfriend said when officers arrived at the scene on Oct. 18, a man, later identified as McQuinn, reportedly grabbed a firearm, loaded it and sat it on her lap. McQuinn then reportedly told her that if the police came any closer, "he was going to shoot (her)." Court documents stated that security footage reportedly showed McQuinn seeing police vehicles, placing a round in his gun and placing it on his lap. When his girlfriend returned to the home after talking to the officers, McQuinn reportedly said "those motherf------ about died and they didn't even know it." "The video footage continues on with (McQuinn) getting angry that the cops were called...," the documents read. "(McQuinn) then stated 'tell me that I lied again and I will put a hot one right in between your face.' No further incidents (happened) other than (McQuinn) being verbally aggressive with (the girlfriend.)" Later that evening, the girlfriend alleges that McQuinn pointed a firearm at them and stated he was going to kill them, the release said. After speaking with the victim at the gas station, officers returned to the home on the 6700 block of Doris Drive and found that McQuinn was inside the home. After McQuinn initially "refused police commands to exit" the home, the release said that McQuinn eventually exited the home and was taken into custody. In a search of the home, IMPD officers recovered two firearms, a 9mm handgun and a .45 caliber handgun, the release said. Court documents stated that the two firearms were located under the mattress in the home's master bedroom. McQuinn's pretrial conference is scheduled for Dec. 12 and his jury trial is scheduled to begin on Dec. 18, according to court documents.
