12 PM UPDATE:According to DPS, around 6:25 a.m. on Wednesday, a 19-year-old Alice man driving a 2005 Ford F-250 was heading northbound on State Highway 359 when he went into oncoming traffic.His truck struck a Chevrolet Silverado driven by Francisco Costilla who had a 17-year-old male passenger from Corpus Christi. Costilla was pronounced dead at the scene. Costilla's passenger was taken to Christus Spohn in Alice. The man driving the Ford F-250 was taken to Christus Spohn Shoreline in Corpus Christi.Investigators with the San Diego Highway Patrol Office are looking into whether low visibility due to fog was a factor in Wednesday morning's crash but have not had a chance to speak to the surviving crash victims yet.*****10:40AM UPDATE- DPS has identified the deceased as a male. Crews have cleared the scene and have reopened State Highway 359.******One person has been confirmed dead in a two-car accident in Jim Wells County.According to Sgt. Harold Mallory with the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened just before 7a.m. on State Highway 359 and Farm to Market Road 1539, south of Orange Grove.The area is very foggy but there's no word on whether fog was a factor in the early morning crash.In the meantime, Hwy. 359 has been shut down as officers investigate the crash.
