LADSON, S.C. (WCBD) – A familiar face is scheduled to perform alongside his brother during this year’s Coastal Carolina Fair at the Ladson fairgrounds. The Bacon Brothers featuring Kevin Bacon, an A-list Hollywood actor, and Michael Bacon, a celebrated Emmy-winning composer, will appear on the Lakefront Stage next month. Coastal Carolina Fair returns to the Ladson Fairgrounds in time for Halloween The band formed in the early 90s and has released a dozen albums over the years, with their latest, ‘Ballad Of The Brothers,’ released in April 2024. For them, the music is all about exploration. “The two siblings may be bound together by blood and a mutual love of American roots music, but they've grown into sharp songwriters and cinematic storytellers with their own distinct approaches,” their official website reads. This year’s Coastal Carolina Fair opens on Halloween, Oct. 31, and runs through Sunday, Nov. 10. It features a variety of rides, games, exhibits, and sweet and savory foods. Other entertainment slated for this year’s event includes Charleston-based singer/songwriter and former American Idol contestant Elise Testone, Travis Denning, Drake Milligan, Drew Baldridge, and a Taylor Swift tribute act.
