NORTH DAKOTA (KXNET) — Over 2,000 items are getting their prices slashed by Target as the holidays approach.
The announcement comes after Walmart and Aldi announced discounted Thanksgiving meal offerings. The store said the cuts apply to select food and beverages, everyday essentials, holiday gifts, and holiday prep items.
"We know families are excited to celebrate the holidays, so Target is committed to helping them find joy without compromise — with great products across our assortment at even lower prices," said Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, Rick Gomez. "From meal prep and gifting to everyday needs, Target's offering the kind of exceptional value that'll make it even easier for everyone to save money as they embrace the magic of the season."

Here are some items that will have a price cut:
40 fl. oz Crisco Vegetable Oil
32 fl. oz Coffee Mate Natural Bliss Cream Creamer
Magic Bullet Personal Blender Set
25 lb. Purina Tidy Cats Litter
24 ct. up&up Daytime Cold and Flu Relief Softgels
LEGO Technic 2022 Ford GT Car Model Set
Bluey Fire Truck
Back in May, Target said they were cutting prices on about 5,000 frequently bought items, now it has increased to about 8,000. By the end of the year, Target estimates that about 10,000 items will have been reduced in price.
The most recent data shows ongoing strength in spending, despite the pace of inflation. However, the Federal Reserve suggests that lower-income households are still financially struggling.
Target also just announced that they were hiring 100,000 seasonal workers for the holidays.
