BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Cat Haven invites the community to its 24th annual Cat Tales and Cocktails event raising money for the rescue. The fundraiser is set for 6-9 p.m. Oct. 26 at the Crowne Plaza Executive Center in Baton Rouge. Cat Haven said the event marks the organization's 25th anniversary and celebrates the rescue of over 19,000 cats and kittens. Attendees can dress in Halloween costumes, enjoy live music and participate in live auctions, with all proceeds supporting Cat Haven’s rescue efforts. "We are thrilled to invite the community to join us for our 24th annual Cat Tales & Cocktails gala," said Holly Carey, executive director at Cat Haven. "This event is not only a celebration of our achievements but also a crucial fundraiser that enables us to continue our lifesaving work and expand our impact in the community."
