BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) -- "The Bakersfield Three" podcast released a new episode Tuesday in the ongoing mystery of what happened to a group of friends with common acquaintances. The podcast is based on the cases of the Bakersfield 3 -- the deaths of Micah Holsonbake and James Kulstad and the disappearance of Baylee Despot. The three either went missing or were murdered within a 30-day period in 2018. Former 17 News reporter Olivia LaVoice reported and wrote the podcast. The latest episode titled "LIL" goes into a grim discovery at Lake Buena Vista, an Orange County woman and what if any connection it may have had to the Bakersfield 3. "The Bakersfield Three" podcast gained a big following when it was first released last year reaching the top of Apple Podcasts charts.
