POWELL, Ohio (WCMH) -- Johnson's Real Ice Cream is continuing to expand in central Ohio with a seventh shop. The Bexley-based ice cream shop will begin welcoming customers in early spring next year to the new location at 4290 Home Road in Powell, the brand announced on social media. The 1,400-square foot shop will include indoor seating and a covered patio, and will open as the chain is celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2025. First 2025 Ohio State Fair concert announced "Bringing Johnson's Real Ice Cream to Powell represents a significant milestone in our growth," said Matt Wilcoxon, CEO of Johnson's, in a release. "As we celebrate 75 years and expand our presence, our commitment remains steadfast: to honor our great-grandpa Johnson by crafting quality ice creams that bring people together." The brand also operates its original store in Bexley and other locations in Dublin and New Albany.
