SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - By the end of October, one Stop and Shop in Springfield will be closing its doors for good. Springfield Partners for Community Action host financial literacy workshop for veterans The location on Cooley Street will close down by October 31st, alongside six other stores throughout the state. The other Stop and Shops in Springfield, on Boston Road and Liberty Street, will stay open. Stop and Shope said it would be closing some underperforming stores to focus on creating a healthy base for the brand.
