PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A Woonsocket man will be arraigned in Superior Court this morning on felony charges after a car crash ended with one person dead and two people in the hospital with injuries. Sam Adams was arraigned back in March on drunk driving charges following an incident in Woonsocket. Earlier this month, a providence grand jury indicted Adam on upgraded felony charges including driving under the influence with death resulting. Woonsocket police said Adams was driving while intoxicated near Bernon and Maple Streets around 10 p.m. on March 30. His vehicle collided with another, and police arrived on the scene to find a 64-year-old female and a 25-year-old man with minor injuries, and a 71-year-old man who was unresponsive. That man, Charles Bagley, was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead. Adams was released on $25,000 bail after that accident but now returns to court to enter a plea on these additional felony charges, which include multiple charges of driving under the influence. Adams is set to be arraigned in Providence Superior Court later this morning. Categories: News
