Perry area residents who want a quick way to shred a lot of unwanted paper at no cost should mark their calendars for Oct. 26. That’s when Perry Township will hold its annual Shred It event from 9 a.m. to noon at its administration building at 3470 Center Road. A mobile shredding truck from a company called Shred-it will be on site during the three-hour event. Residents of Perry Township and Village and North Perry Village are invited to bring boxes or bags of paper that they want to have shredded, free of charge. The shredding truck will shred all the paper on-site as it is delivered, while township employees will be on hand to help unload quantities of paper from each resident’s vehicle. Everyone dropping off paper at the event should be prepared to show a driver’s license, Ohio ID card or utility bill, if requested, to confirm that they are Perry residents. Anyone with additional questions about the event should call the Perry Township administrative office at 440-259-5140.
