Here are some of the best things to do this weekend in San Diego from Friday, Oct. 25 to Sunday, Oct. 27. Friday Singles date night: Lionfish and Oxford Social Club are partnering with the YES dating app to Host a Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice singles date night event. The night will feature a late happy hour at Lionfish with Halloween-themed cocktails. At 10 p.m., guests will go downstairs to Oxford Social Club, where they will be welcomed by a YES app photography wall, hosted table, complementary Starbucks gift cards and products from Jule Lip Gloss. Songwriter Sanctuary: The Songwriter Sanctuary series is bringing a hip-hop edition to the Normal Heights United Church. The Neighborhood Kids, The Brothers Burns and Rob Deez will be the featured local artists. The Songwriter Sanctuary usually hosts acoustic sets and behind-the-song storytelling, but for this concert, it is showcasing hip-hop acts and emcees. The event is hosted by Jeff Berkley. Food and drinks will be served by Grace 2 Go Meals, Flying Embers and Duck Foot Brewing Company. 7 p.m. Friday. Some of his hits include 2013’s “Vivir Mi Vida,” 1997’s “Y Hubo Alguien” and 2015’s “La Gozadera” with Gente de Zona. On his latest album “Muevese,” released in April, Anthony has a mix of genres to dance to including salsa, bachata and a ballard with Mexican singer Pepe Aguilar. 8 p.m. Friday. The overnight event includes campfire songs and s’mores, pumpkin carving, hot cocoa, a Halloween costume contest and a haunted house along with an animal trivia challenge. Haunted Ghost Town: Ovation Theatre and the Heritage Ranch present Haunted Ghost Town, which will transport visitors to the doomed town of Bitter Gulch from 5 to 8:45 p.m. Oct. 25-27 at Heritage Ranch, 450 Quail Gardens Drive. This year’s ghost town tour features the arrival of a ghostly pirate ship, a cursed pirate crew and bone-chilling performances by professionally trained actors. Less scary experiences for children are from 5 to 6:30 p.m. followed by more spine-tingling presentations for ages 12 and older from 7 to 9 p.m., with the last entry at 8:45 p.m. Admission is $28; $16.80 for children ages 10 and younger. Haunted Hotel: The historic grounds of the Olivenhain Meeting Hall will be transformed into a Haunted Hotel Friday and Saturday nights from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Oct. 25-26 at 423 Rancho Santa Fe Road. There will be spooky scenes ranging from a Zombie Banquet, Dr. Frankenstein’s laboratory and a Witches’ Lair to a Candy Mystery Trail. Actors are Scouts, ages 12 to 18.
