ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Disneyland, meeting your favorite singer, or swimming with dolphins are typical Make-A-Wish trips but not for one Albuquerque girl whose dream centered around a game show. Story continues below New Mexico: Roswell residents pick up the pieces after record breaking rain and deadly flooding Community: ‘We don’t want our church to go away’: Small New Mexico community raising money to repair long-standing chapel News: City councilors, residents call out Albuquerque police shooting of man in handcuffs Trending: Two New Mexico hotels ranked among America’s most haunted Phoebe has a long list of health issues. She's had three open heart surgeries, has a pacemaker, and is legally blind which means she has spent a lot of time in hospitals. While she was in the hospital, the popular gameshow The Price is Right was always playing in the background lifting her spirits. Now eight years old, Phoebe loves the people on Price is Right and feels connected to them. "Her obsession with the Price is Right mostly has to do with that fact that it is positive and joyful and she loves to cheer," said Kelsey Krause, Phoebe's mother. Make-A-Wish teamed up with Holmans USA, a New Mexico tech company to create the game show in Albuquerque, complete with her favorite games from the show, and a full audience, plus, plenty of prizes. The Top prize? Holman is sending Phoebe and her family to California for a taping of The Price Is Right. Phoebe's favorite episode is a Christmas episode from 2022. Her favorite contestant is a random woman named Shannon Pfiffer. She even makes her parents reenact the episode.
