RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- An immersive, live horror experience based on the world of "Insidious" is coming to Richmond's Altria Theater early next year. "Insidious: The Further You Fear," based on the beloved horror film franchise, will fill the Altria Theater with terror starting at 7 p.m. on March 30, 2025. This 80-minute experience is "more than a show -- it's a thrilling journey into The Further, where fear lurks at every corner," according to the tour's organizers. The show's immersive elements will come in the form of interactions with both the cast and fellow audience members, as well as special effects. The "real" Specs and Tucker -- the paranormal investigators who inspired the films -- will host the show, which features a brand-new storyline. After a paranormal demonstration goes terribly wrong, those who dare to attend the show will become "trapped in a genuinely haunted theater, with something truly sinister lurking backstage," according to the Altria. ‘He’s with me all the time’: Henrico strengthens road safety efforts after recent pedestrian tragedies "The audience will find themselves under attack from such iconic characters as the Bride in Black, the Wheezing Man and, of course, the infamous Red Face Demon," the Altria said. "But what is real? What’s just part of the show? And who—or what—might be sitting next to you? The house is full. The stage is set. The Red Door is about to open. Will you make it through?" Tickets go on sale beginning at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 25 and start at $47.50 a person.
