Early morning temps fall as low as the low 50s as Wednesday begins. Temperatures dropping into the 50s to start the day. A cold front is on its way. So, winds will pick back up, again, and switch from being southwesterly to flowing in from the northwest, once the front moves through in the afternoon. We'll have similar gust speeds as compared to Tuesday - reaching to around 25 mph. Wednesday will be breezy and cooler. Highs will get to around 70° before starting to fall by mid-afternoon. The colder air arrives from the northwest and moves southeast across the region. Wednesday's high temperatures will occur earlier in the day than is typical, due to a cold front moving through the area in the afternoon. Cooler air flows in behind Wednesday's front and we'll feel it on Thursday. Morning temps will be in the upper 30s and afternoon highs will only be slightly above our seasonal averages. Thursday's highs will be in the mid-60s. The cold front that comes through on Wednesday is followed by cooler air for Thursday. On Friday, our next weather system moves through and brings us a chance at some periods of rain starting later Thursday night and continuing during the day Friday. High temps Friday will be in the low 70s. Drought conditions continue for the area Cooler, fall air follows the Friday system and the weekend will have highs in the low-to-mid-60s, as a result.
