Two former Penn State football players face rape and sexual assault charges from an alleged incident on July 7, according to online criminal dockets filed Tuesday. Former sophomore defensive end Jameial Lyons and redshirt freshman Kayeion Keys will be charged with several felonies, according to the dockets. The dockets list Lyons as being charged with rape, aggravated indecent assault without consent, indecent assault, voluntary deviant sexual intercourse and invasion of privacy. Keys’ docket sheet lists charges of rape, sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault and indecent assault. Lyons and Keys will be arraigned on Wednesday, the dockets say, and each is scheduled for a  preliminary hearing on Oct. 30. Lyons, who played high school ball at Roman Catholic in Philadelphia, played in eight games as a true freshman last season. He made six tackles, 2.5 for loss, and had a sack. Keys, a Richmond, Va. native who played at Varina High, did not play last season. On July 31, a Penn State Athletics spokesperson said both players were on an “interim suspension.” The school then said on Aug. 3 that neither was still enrolled at the university. The charges were filed in Centre County court.
