RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The Richmond Police Department has identified the 19-year-old man killed in a Monday morning triple shooting on Hull Street Road. According to police, 19-year-old Samir Mejia-Zelaya was shot and killed on Monday, Oct. 21. At approximately 1:26 a.m., officers were called to the 5400 block of Hull Street Road for report of random gunfire. Minutes later, it was upgraded to a shooting call in the 5700 block of Hull Street Road. PREVIOUS: Richmond community calls for end to ongoing violence after deadly triple shooting When officers arrived on the scene, they found three adults in a parking lot: an injured man and woman, as well as Mejia-Zelaya, who was down and unconscious. Each of them had gunshot wounds. Mejia-Zelaya died at the scene. The two injured adult victims were taken to a nearby hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
