SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- Although claims and evidence alleging a stolen 2020 election have been exhaustively investigated and litigated. Here in South Dakota, two weeks from the election people are still claiming the election process is rigged. It again happened Tuesday at the Minnehaha County Commission meeting. At most meetings, county commissioners welcome public comment. "We allow five minutes per individual 30 minutes total, good morning," Commission Chairman Dean Karsky told the two dozen people attending. It's a chance for citizens to voice their concerns about everything from the budget to road projects in the county. But recently people who still believe there was fraud involved in the 2020 election are voicing their beliefs about current voter fraud during the public comment section, often scolding and insulting the elected officials "We are fighting to expose election corruption, said one member of a group of election deniers. "Because it affects the CO-2 debate, recreation marijuana, open primaries, abortion rights, who gets elected into local offices, etcetera, etcetera. I think the rest of you should be able to figure this out," said one public commenter. At today's meeting, another speaker brought up the friction between county auditor Leah Anderson and some of the commissioners. "Leah represents the county what you have done to defame her character is election interference, she said. "And as I quoted a few weeks ago it is executive order 13848 that president Trump put into motion, it is still an active executive order. It goes right along the lines of treason," said another public commenter. That 2018 executive order has to do with foreign governments interfering in our elections and was extended by President Biden. The commissioners did not respond to any of the accusations. Despite the derogatory comments the meeting ended on a high note, with praise for the Auditor's office and the work they are doing as long lines of people show up to vote early. "I talked with Eric and others about the election school last night and great comments about Leah and the professionalism, her entire staff so, I just want to congratulate everybody on that," said Chairman Karsky. Today he told KELOLAND News that the commission is quote "Doing everything it can to comply with state law when it comes to elections."
