Come join us for Halloween Aglow, a fun-filled event for the whole family at the aquarium on October 25 and 26 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Go trick-or-treating around the aquarium in your spooky costume, and earn extra points if it’s ocean-themed! Get your groove on to the live music of Billy Lee and the Swamp Critters! Explore the enchanting world of bioluminescent plankton at an interactive station that demonstrates how their glow is triggered by movement.     More.   OCEANSIDE DIA DE LOS MUERTOS FESTIVAL Oceanside Dia De Los Muertos The 23rd annual Oceanside Dia de los Muertos Festival will take place on Sunday, October 27th from 10 AM to 5 PM. The festival will be held in the heart of Downtown Oceanside at the intersection of Pier View Way and South Tremont Streets. Attendees can look forward to a variety of performances including Capulli, Ballet Folklorico, Rubios dancers, Danza de los Diablos, as well as a Catrina Contest and other activities.  Read more     HALLOWEEN FAMILY DAY SDAM Trunk or Treat Join us for a day of treats, automobiles, and enjoyment on Saturday, October 26th from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Trunk or Treat offers a secure and family-friendly atmosphere. Children have the opportunity to go trick or treating from various cars. Admission is free for kids (12 and under) and parents with costumed children (12 and under). The Balboa Park Halloween Spooktacular will be held in front of the Museum from 9:30 AM to 12 PM. Don’t forget to bring your trick-or-treat bag.   Read more      OCTOBER IS KIDS FREE MONTH Kids Free October 2024 Throughout October, children aged 12 and below can gain FREE entry to over 50 beloved museums, historical sites, aquariums, and botanical gardens in San Diego County when accompanied by a paying adult. Some of these attractions even offer complimentary admission for the entire family. Moreover, kids can enjoy free meals, accommodations, and entertainment with various discounts for hotels, activities, restaurants, and other attractions.    Read more      HALLOWEEN AT THE STATION Halloween Liberty Station On Sunday, October 27th, Liberty Station will be hosting a Halloween event at Ingram Plaza from 12 pm to 4 pm. This free and family-friendly celebration invites the community to join in on the fun. The event will feature live entertainment, including a DJ set and a Hollywood car show. There will also be inflatable obstacle courses, crafts, and various activities for everyone to enjoy. Participants of all ages are encouraged to come dressed in their most creative costumes and take part in the costume contest.       Read more     DIA DE LOS MUERTOS CELEBRATION SD Symphony Dia De Los Muertos Day of the Dead, also known as Día de los Muertos, is a time for relatives and companions to come together to pray for and commemorate their departed loved ones, and to aid in their spiritual journey. This Día de Muertos performance will allow you to relive the music of some of the most renowned Mexican musicians, performed by the top Mariachi artists and special guests of San Diego.
