Suspect killed during deputyinvolved shooting in Jonesville, Wilkes County Sheriff's Office says

JONESVILLE, N.C. (WGHP) -- A wanted suspect was shot and killed in Wilkes County on Sunday, according to a Wilkes County Sheriff's Office news release.
Around 11:34 p.m., deputies were trying to execute an arrest warrant on Armstrong Road in Jonesville on 53-year-old Wiley Jarvis Casstevens.
Casstevens fired at the deputies, and the deputies fired back, hitting Casstevens.
Officers on the scene provided emergency medical aid until Wilkes Medical Services arrived and took over.
The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.
As per office policy, the deputies have been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation by the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation.
