Man gets throat slashed at a Wisconsin Kwik Trip, investigation begins

WEST SALEM, Wis. (WFRV) - Authorities in western Wisconsin are investigating an incident in which a man had his throat slashed at a Kwik Trip on Monday night.
According to a release, on Oct. 21, shortly after 7 p.m., the West Salem Police Department was dispatched to a Kwik Trip just off Interstate 90 to assist a man whose throat had been cut by another man who fled the scene in a red semi-truck with a trailer.

Upon arrival, officers found the victim had suffered a substantial, yet non-life-threatening, laceration to his neck and chest. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital and was later released.

This incident is believed to be isolated, and there is no threat to the public. Preliminary information suggests that the incident occurred within the parking lot of the Kwik Trip between two truck drivers who had no prior knowledge of each other and had no known connection to West Salem or the surrounding area.
