FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) -- Any "Caniacs" who have been waiting for Fort Wayne to receive a Raising Cane's location will be getting an early Christmas present this year. On Tuesday, the fast food restaurant announced that its Fort Wayne location will be open for business Thursday, Dec. 5. "We're thrilled to bring Raising Cane's to Fort Wayne for the very first time," said Marc Mathias, area leader of restaurants for Raising Cane's. "We're excited to share the fun, high-energy culture that makes us unique, and we can't wait to welcome enthusiastic community members to join or growing crew. Fort Wayne, get read for great food and even better vibes." To celebrate, the restaurant will offer 20 customers free Raising Cane's for a year during the first few weeks after the grand opening. Raising Cane's is also hiring crew members ahead of the grand opening. Interested applicants can apply online or at the company's hiring site at the Wyndham Garden Hotel at 5750 Challenger Parkway between 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. daily. Raising Cane's will be located at 701 E. Coliseum Blvd. within Northcrest Shopping Center.
