UPDATE: Waterline repairs have been completed and water service has been restored, CRRUA said.
EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) -- The Camino Real Regional Utility Authority says a waterline leak in the Anapra area is being repaired and that may cause a temporary disruption in water service.
The utility, which serves Santa Teresa and Sunland Park, said the waterline leak was caused by an roadway improvement project.
Once service is restored, water could be discolored, the utility said.
Water will be safe to drink, but the utility recommends waiting to wash laundry until water becomes clear.
The discoloration should disappear within hours, CRRUA said.
If it does not, CRRUA recommends flushing all faucets for five minutes.
