KINGS COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A high-speed pursuit in Kings County ended with a woman arrested in an alleged stolen vehicle, the Kings County Sheriff's Office says. Deputies say they conducted a license plate check on a vehicle at around 2:30 p.m. on Monday in the area of eastbound Highway 198, west of Highway 41, and found out it had been reported stolen. Deputies say the driver did not stop the vehicle, which led them on an eight-mile chase before it crashed into two vehicles stopped at the intersection of 18th and Jackson avenues, just south of Lemoore. The driver, identified as 23-year-old Laura Perez-Gomez, and her passenger were both taken into custody. 23-year-old Laura Perez-Gomez (image provided by the Kings County Sheriff's Office) Officials say the two other drivers hit sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene.
