Charles E. “Chuck” Adcock III has been the Champions First Credit Union President/Chief Executive Officer since 2018. Adcock first joined the credit union in 1994 as a teller while completing his finance degree from Florida State University. He quickly moved up the ranks to second in command before being named President/CEO. Since taking the helm of Champions First Credit Union, Chuck led the successful mergers of Pensacola-based Gulf Power Company Employees Credit Union and FDOT Credit Union. Earlier this year, Chuck oversaw the rebranding of FSU Credit Union to Champions First Credit Union. The name change follows the credit union’s rapid expansion over the last five years, from serving primarily the greater Tallahassee market to now operating out of branches in five Northwest Florida counties stretching from Lake City to Pensacola, Fla. The brand change decision by the board of directors and management team came after nearly three years of internal and external research. Chuck served for three years on the FAMU Small Business Development Center Emergency Bridge Loan Committee and was appointed to the Citizens’ North Monroe Corridor Task Force in Tallahassee, which was formed to identify opportunities to reduce crime, and improve safety and overall conditions, including economic conditions and aesthetics, along the Northwest corridor of Tallahassee. Chuck also serves on the Boards of the FSU College of Business Department of Finance Professional Advocacy Board and Community Christian School in Tallahassee. Chuck received his B.S. in Finance from the Florida State University College of Business in 1997 and his Juris Master’s from the Florida State University College of Law in 2023. He is also a graduate of the University of Lending (1997, 2002), CUNA Mutual BDS/BDST Program (1999), and the Jim Moran Institute Small Business Executive Program (2015).
