(KRON) -- Southbound Interstate 680 in East San Jose was reopened at 6:44 a.m. Tuesday morning after all lanes were shut down as part of an “emergency road closure,” according to 511 SF Bay. All lanes were initially blocked at 5:08 a.m. I-680 in the southbound direction was closed at Alum Rock Avenue, California Highway Patrol reported. Caltrans estimated the time to reopen lanes was 7 a.m. Further details about the emergency closure were not immediately available. Motorists were advised to use alternative routes and to avoid the area.
