NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Officers with the New Orleans Police Department are investigating a shooting that left a man dead in the Plum Orchard neighborhood on Tuesday, Oct. 22. The NOPD reported that officers responded to the 4700 block of Bonita Drive to perform a wellness check, where they found an unresponsive man who had been shot. Three arrested, one wanted in connection with Chalmette shooting He was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS. According to the NOPD, the incident was initially being investigated as an unclassified death but was re-classified as a homicide. The NOPD did not release additional information.
