KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Police confirmed on Tuesday that the woman who was hit and run over by a bus on Saturday died at Truman Medical Center two days after the crash. According to the Kansas City Police Department, the woman was pronounced dead by Truman Medical Center hospital staff just before 4:30 p.m. on Monday, two days after being hit and run over by a passenger bus. Police said that the driver of the bus had made a left turn from southbound Wyandotte Street to eastbound 6th Street before hitting the woman and running her over. The bus then left the scene without stopping, according to KCPD, and was found at about 5:40 p.m. that same day. The driver of the bus cooperated with investigations. The woman was originally taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
