CHARLOTTE, NC — The White House is launching a new “community liaisons” program in North Carolina to help with Hurricane Helene recovery.    Those hired for the program will be intermediaries between residents and FEMA to make sure resident needs are met.    The administration also announced it has approved more than 300 million-dollars in assistance across the state.  Helene was the second-deadliest hurricane to strike the US mainland in the past 50 years.
