The community is invited to a book signing this Thursday at the Brewery Arts Center in Carson City featuring author Stephen Thompson. The special book signing is for the publication of “Hotel Goodbyes” by Stephen Thompson. He will be at the Brewery Arts Center, 449 West King Street, Carson City on Thursday, Oct. 24 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Thompson was just nine years old when his mother said goodbye to him and his four younger siblings in a motel room in Reno, Nev. in January 1980. In Hotel Goodbyes, Stephen tells his incredible, gripping life story and how his mother may have abandoned him, but she also gave him a gift, the gift of a better life.
